About

Conn-Selmer, Inc. is an American manufacturer of orchestral wind instruments headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, USA. The company was formed in 2002 through the merger of Steinway Musical Instruments' wind division and the Selmer Company, uniting a portfolio of the world's most respected brass and woodwind brands: Vincent Bach (trumpets, trombones), C.G. Conn (tubas, French horns, euphoniums), King (trombones, baritones), Selmer (saxophones, clarinets, flutes), Armstrong (beginner flutes, clarinets), Ludwig (drums -- later divested), and Benge (professional trumpets). Instruments are manufactured across facilities in Elkhart (Indiana), Paris (France for Selmer woodwinds), and additional US sites. Conn-Selmer is the dominant supplier of band-and-orchestra instruments to US school music programs, supplying complete package deals of instruments, cases, and method books to educational distributors. The company also produces professional and artist-level instruments for orchestral section players, military bands, and soloists. Distribution is through dealers and national distributors in over 50 countries. Conn-Selmer is a subsidiary of Steinway Musical Instruments holding company.
