Common questions
How do you verify a company?
We compare company information with official public records: business registries, the VIES VAT system, certification registers and sanctions lists. Sourced facts link to the original record, so you can open it yourself. Company-supplied details and inferences are labelled separately, and open gaps stay visible.
What does "verified" mean here?
The company status means its identity or ownership claim passed our review. It is not a guarantee of the company or a blanket approval of every field. Each fact keeps its own evidence, source and check status. We do not sell verification badges.
What happens if you cannot verify a company?
The profile shows which facts could not be confirmed. It says "not verified", "no registry record found" or "no VAT number on file". We do not guess and we do not fill gaps with invented data.
Where do these companies come from?
The catalog combines large exporters with small local producers: family manufacturers, distilleries, apiaries, workshops, cooperatives and farms. Listings come from official business registries (SIREN in France, CVR in Denmark and dozens more), export agencies, chambers of commerce and trade-fair exhibitor lists. Websites are checked to be live when a listing is added.
How does an introduction work?
When you find a partner, you can request an introduction from the profile. We send your request to the company by email; if the company has claimed its profile, the request also appears in its dashboard. Contact details stay private until both sides agree. With a company profile of your own, the matching engine also scores the fit from 0 to 100 using seven published criteria.
Is the platform free?
Yes. Today every feature is free: search, verification tools, profiles and introduction requests. Companies can claim and manage their listing for free too. We may add optional paid features later, but the core stays free.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed to search the catalog or use the verification tools. You need one only to create a company profile and manage introduction requests.
Can I use the platform in my own language?
Yes. The interface is available in 17 languages, and company profiles are machine-translated into 16 languages. Use the language switcher on any page.
