About

Joya de Nicaragua S.A. is the oldest continuously operating cigar factory in Nicaragua, established in 1968 in Esteli. The company hand-rolls long-filler premium cigars using Nicaraguan puro tobacco (all-Nicaraguan filler, binder, and wrapper) as well as blends incorporating Ecuadorian and Connecticut wrapper leaves. Core product lines include Antano (a full-bodied Nicaraguan puro), Cuatro Cinco (the 45th anniversary blend), and Cinco Decadas (the 50th anniversary commemorative line). Manufacturing capacity reaches several million cigars annually, distributed through B2B importers and specialty cigar wholesalers in more than 50 countries. Joya de Nicaragua is one of very few Nicaraguan factories to have survived the 1970s Sandinista era as a privately owned premium manufacturer, giving it unique historical credibility with collectors and specialty tobacco importers. The factory employs skilled torcedores trained under in-house apprenticeship programmes, maintaining traditional hand-rolling techniques across all vitola formats.
