Brunei's primary oil and gas producer, supplying LNG and crude oil to Asian markets since 1957.
Brunei Shell Petroleum is a 50-50 joint venture between the Brunei government and Shell, operating onshore and offshore fields producing crude oil and natural gas. BSP's LNG plant at Lumut is one of the world's largest, exporting liquefied natural gas to Japan, South Korea, and other Asian markets under long-term contracts.
