Oserian Development Company, established in 1969 on the shores of Lake Naivasha, is one of Kenya's oldest and largest flower farms, producing 350 million stems of roses, carnations, and gypsophila annually. The company pioneered geothermal greenhouse heating in Africa in 2001 and has been Fairtrade certified since 2003. It exports to the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and Australia, and is a multiple award winner for sustainable practices.
