Hamoud Boualem was founded in Algiers in 1878 by Youssef Hammoud and is one of the oldest continuously operating companies on the African continent. The company produces carbonated soft drinks under the Selecto, Hamoud La Blanche, and Slim brands in PET bottles and cans from facilities in Algiers, Oran, and Boufarik. It exports to Algerian diaspora markets across Europe and North America and exhibits at international trade shows including Gulfood.
