Chemical Industries Ltd. was founded in 1982 by Aubrey G. Choy with the goal of reducing the cost of industrial cleaning chemicals in Barbados. Now in operation for over 40 years, CIL is the largest and most established chemical manufacturer of cleaning agents on the island, producing disinfectants, insecticides, sanitizers, air fresheners, and bottle-washing compounds under the BIOSPHERE, MAGIC, HI-TECH, and CHEMSOLV brands. The company exports to hospitality, food processing, and marine sectors across the Caribbean.
